SunEnergy1 sponsors Nationwide races for JGR

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (AP) — SunEnergy1 will sponsor four NASCAR Nationwide Series races for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Matt Kenseth, Sam Hornish and SunEnergy1 CEO Kenny Habul will share the driving duties. Hornish will drive SunEnergy1’s debut race next weekend at Michigan International Speedway, while accomplished road racer Habul goes behind the wheel on the road courses June 21 at Road America and Aug. 16 at Mid-Ohio. Kenseth will handle the driving duties Aug. 30 at Atlanta.

Habul raced open wheel in Australia from 1997 to 2005, competing in the Australian Formula Ford Championship and including three years in the Australian Formula 3 Driver’s Championship Series with Piccola Scuderia Ferrari Team in Sydney.
