INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — KV Racing will field a fourth car in the Indianapolis 500 for rookie James Davison.
KV won the race last year with Tony Kanaan, and already committed to expanding its program to three cars for the May 25 race.
The team announced Saturday it had added a fourth entry for Davison.
The Australian driver raced two seasons in Indy Lights, winning two races and finishing second in the 2009 championship. Davison has spent most of the past four seasons racing sports cars, but ran two IndyCar races last year at Mid-Ohio and Sonoma.
He has one career victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Formula BMW USA event on the road course in conjunction with the 2005 Formula One U.S. Grand Prix.
