WASHINGTON — Teens in Louisa County have been caught sharing more than 1,000 sexually explicit videos and pictures of girls, the youngest of which was 14 years old.
Kayla McNutt tells WRIC she is one of 25 students at Louisa County High School whose phones were confiscated for a forensics evaluation because they may have received or accessed the pictures.
“Some guys made up an Instagram page, and they got naked pictures from all these girls, and they started posting them,” she says.
A concerned mother tipped off police about the page, which has been taken down. The Louisa County chief deputy says it seems all the pictures were consensual.
Parents such as Lori Lyons were shocked.
“I hope they learn how dangerous it is to do, and how it can get in the wrong people’s hands,” she says.
That’s the lesson officials say they hope the students get from this. There are no plans to press any charges.
