Teen mom, baby found unharmed in Montgomery County

WASHINGTON – UPDATE: March 3, 2013 4 p.m. Both Sylvia Higon and her infant son Jayden Higon were located unharmed.

EARLIER: March 3, 2013 8 a.m.

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police are searching for a 17-year-old Silver Spring resident and her 7-month-old child who have both been missing since Sunday afternoon.

Sylvia Higon, 17, and her child, Jayden Higon were last seen at about 3 p.m. Sunday, according to information police released Monday. Detectives say they are concerned for their safely because of their ages and Monday’s cold, snowy weather conditions.

Sylvia is described as a black female, about 5 foot, 2 inches tall and 102 pounds. She has brown eyes and hair that has been dyed bond, brown and orange. Jayden is a black male and weighs approximately 13 pounds.

Anyone with information about the possible location of Sylvia and Jayden is asked to call the Missing Persons Unit at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 301-279-8000.
