WASHINGTON – Drivers who use the Dulles Greenway will get a one-month reprieve before a toll hike kicks in.
The Virginia State Corporation Commission agreed Wednesday to delay an automatic toll increase until April 8according to Delegate Dave Ramadan, R-Loudoun.
The tolls are set to increase from $4.90 to $5.10. Ramadan is challening the increase.
Under Virginia law, such a delay is granted to allow Ramadan to finish the General Assembly session before continuing his fight against the tolls.
The Greenway owners, Toll Road Investors Partnership II, wanted to raise the one-way trip fare in February. The proposed incease doesn’t include the $1 fee to exit the Dulles Toll Road.
