WASHINGTON — It’s Shrove Tuesday, also known to many as “National Pancake Day.”
And there’s a way to celebrate with a warm feeling in not only your tummy, but also your heart.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is joining forces with IHOP restaurants in the area to give you one free short stack of pancakes.
It’s hoped that, in lieu of payment, you’ll make a donation to LLS.
This year, the restaurants are raising money in honor of Asad, a 6-year-old leukemia survivor and “National Pancake Day Honored Hero.”
Last year, more than $225,000 was raised for the National Capital Area Chapter of LLS.
