MARC’s Camden Line is running as scheduled.

EARLIER – Thursday – 2/27/2014, 3:20 a.m. ET

WASHINGTON — There might be delays on the Camden Line on Thursday morning, MARC says.

MARC says that the railroad is closed at Riverdale due to a hazardous-materials situation involving a freight train that began at about 2:20 a.m.

“At this point,” MARC says in a statement, “we do not know what the impact on Camden Line service will be. MARC and Bombardier Transportation Services are prepared to operate trains as far as Greenbelt station, where the Metrorail option will be open and passengers can complete their trip into Washington.”

Prince George’s County fire and hazmat teams are at the scene.

MARC says they’ll have more information between 4:30 and 5 a.m.
