Fairfax County seeks owners of dead dog

WASHINGTON – A black and white pit bull is dead and Fairfax County Animal Control officers are looking for his owners.

The dog was found unconscious but alive on Feb. 13 in Springfield near Westmore and Old Keene Mill roads. He was in poor physical condition and later died.

The male dog had large black patches all over his body and wore a choke chain. A cause of death hasn’t been released.

Anyone with information or who knows his owners is asked to call animal control at 703-691-2131.
