WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – A new food phenomenon is hitting the West Coast bringing burritos to customers faster than ever.

Enter BurritoBox, purported to be the world’s first burrito kiosk.

Apparently the taco trucks, hole-in-the-wall gems and endless taquerias that blanket southern California aren’t sufficient to satisfy the region’s burrito fix.

The first kiosk has been installed at a 24-hour mobile gas station. A second burrito vending machine is set to open later this week in Century City.

The hungry masses use a touch screen to select from five different burritos. They’re free of hormones and antibiotics. The breakfast burritos are made with cage-free eggs.

“I think it’s amazing,” says a West Hollywood resident who walked over just to try the burrito. “We want our burritos all times, day and night.”

The vending machine burritos come steaming hot for $3. Tabasco, guacamole and sour cream are available as sides.

Antacids must be purchased separately.
