WASHINGTON – The National Retail Federation estimates that nearly 33 million people will shop on Thanksgiving.
A survey by the group predicts as many as 140 million people will shop between Thanksgiving Thursday and the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
The National Retail Federation says Black Friday will be the biggest day of the weekend, with 69.1 percent or 97 million people shopping.
The retail group polled 6,201 consumers from Nov. 1 to Nov. 7. The poll has a margin of error of 1.3 percent.
