WASHINGTON – The death of a 7-year-old D.C. boy found in a locked car in July was ruled accidental. On Tuesday, the city’s medical examiner said the boy died of hyperthermia.
Michael Kingsbury, who had autism, disappeared while playing in his backyard.
His body was found on the back floor of a locked car about 40 yards from his home on West Virginia Avenue, about 30 hours after he wandered away.
On Tuesday, the medical examiners report confirms Kingsbury died of hyperthermia, which is heat-related.
