WASHINGTON – A Portland, Oregon man rediscovered something precious through the help of digital giant Google.
His grandmother.
Dustin Moore and his brother spotted their deceased grandmother lounging on the porch of her home in a Google street view image. She appears to be reading a newspaper. Moore first shared discovering the image of his grandma on the content-sharing site Reddit.
“What surprised me was that Google captured one of the last few pictures of my grandma, because she passed away less than a year after the picture was taken. I thought it was such an uplifting and awesome picture because it showed just how laid back and awesome she was,” Moore wrote on the site.
Moore later shared his story with Portland station KATU.
“Well, grandma’s gone but she still somehow lives on in Google and is watching over us,” Moore told KATU.
