WASHINGTON – The passing of Labor Day holiday means the end of summer for many, but not in the music world.
Here are some of this weekend’s highlights:
Friday
- Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson take the stage at Jiffy Lube Live. Tickets are still available.
- Bluegrass favorites Steep Canyon Rangers play at The Birchmere.
Saturday
- The Rosslyn Jazz Festival is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gateway Park, featuring Poncho Sanchez and the Soul Rebels.
- The Silver Spring Jazz Festival kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and will feature Branford Marsalis.
- 1960s folk and psychedelic troubadour Donovan performs at the Montgomery College Performing Arts Center. Baltimore songwriter Ellen Cherry opens.
