WASHINGTON – A flier that warns women they are being secretly videotaped as they jog and walk on 15th Street in Northwest is raising concern.
The orange flier says the following:
“Female joggers and walkers. Please be careful when you travel along the 1900 block of 15th Street. A resident who resides on the block is secretly taking photographs and videotaping females as we jog and walk along the block.”
The unsigned flier goes on to tell women not to confront the person and to call police immediately.
People have dubbed the individual “the creeper,” ABC7 reports.
Women who spoke with the station called flier disturbing and fear-inducing. Some say they plan to take the information seriously.
Metropolitan police tell ABC7 they are aware of the signs. No formal complaints have been made.
