WASHINGTON – Managed deer hunts on large tracts of private property could become a reality within the City of Fairfax.
The Fairfax City Council is studying the idea, NBC4 reports.
The request comes from the Army Navy Country Club to help control the deer population on the course.
The hunts, if approved, would be on park or public land, with the city manager’s approval.
The council would hold public hearings before taking a vote in the fall.
