Bowie officials appear to have reached a final four in proposals for a new sports facility, The Gazette reports.
Clearwater, Fla.-based Sports Facility Advisors, a company hired to examine the city’s athletic needs, recommended either an indoor pool, a larger ice arena to replace the current one, more basketball courts or an indoor turf facility.
Construction of another indoor athletic facility is not planned until fiscal 2018 with the city estimating costs at about $10 million, said David Deutsch, the Bowie city manager.
