WASHINGTON – Perhaps Lauren Bacall said it best to Humphrey Bogart in “To Have and Have Not” — “You just put your lips together and blow.”
Turns out that’s what a lot of folks are doing this week in Louisburg, N.C., not far from the Virginia border, at the 40th annual International Whistlers Convention.
There’s a whistlers school, and competitions for both adult and teenage whistlers.
Among the tips provided by convention organizers to contestants: Don’t forget your favorite lip balm, and water.
