WASHINGTON – Police are investigating a fatal shooting in downtown D.C. that happened overnight.
Police say units responded at about 2:40 a.m. Thursday to the 1000 block of 17th Street NW, near Farragut Square, for the report of a shooting. Paul Aime Tanoh Danzo, 24, of Laurel, Md., had been shot multiple times in the head.
Danzo was found sitting inside his vehicle, police say. He died at a local hospital.
Authorities are investigating whether the shooting stemmed from a nightclub dispute that spilled into the streets.
No arrests have been made. Via Twitter, police said there was a lookout for a black BMW with chrome wheels.
