Man killed crossing Md. 29 in White Oak

WHITE OAK, Md. (AP) – Montgomery County police are investigating a collision in White Oak that killed a pedestrian.

It happened late Thursday at the intersection of Md. 29 and Oak Drive.

Police say a pedestrian tripped while crossing the southbound lanes of Md. 29 and was struck by an approaching Nissan Ultima. He died at the scene, and the driver stayed behind to help police.

Police haven’t released the names of either the driver or the pedestrian.
