WASHINGTON – They’re back.
After defeating the rival Cowboys Sunday night on the back of rookie running back Alfred Morris, the Washington Redskins will host the Seattle Seahawks Sunday in the team’s first playoff appearance since 2007. The win also gave the ‘Skins the team’s first division title since 1999.
There’s history to Sunday’s wild-card matchup: The Seahawks dispatched the Redskins from the postseason in 2005 and 2007. Seattle also boasts its own first-year sensation at quarterback in Russell Wilson, a third-round draft choice out of Wisconsin who on Sunday tied Peyton Manning’s record for most touchdown passes by a rookie.
So as the team and Washington as a whole readies for the postseason matchup, join WTOP’s George Wallace today at 1 p.m. for a live chat to talk about the big win over Dallas and the Redskins’ playoff chances.
