WASHINGTON – Anyone who thinks girls can’t play football might want to think again after watching 9-year-old Sam Gordon.
The Utah quarterback became an Internet star when her father posted a highlight reel of the peewee football player scoring touchdowns, taking hits and outrunning most of the boys on the field, The Huffington Post reports.
Gordon decided to switch from soccer to football after watching Brigham Young University games with her dad, according to The Huffington Post. She even chose her jersey number in honor of running back Luke Staley.
