After Question 7, does D.C. need a casino?

Following the approval of Question 7 in Maryland that allows an $800 million luxury casino to likely be built at National Harbor, District officials and business have been wondering if they needed to start pursuing a casino of their own, The Washington Post reported.

But D.C. Council member Jack Evans, D-Ward 2, says no.

He called the Prince George’s casino a “good thing” — one that shouldn’t threaten the District’s livelihood.
