WASHINGTON – One of the grunge movement’s most famous bands is set to release its first new album in 15 years.
“King Animal” from Soundgarden will be released on Nov. 13. It will be the band’s sixth studio album.
Those not familiar with the band’s music may remember some songs from its best-known album, “Superunknown,” released in 1994. The album featured the songs “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman” and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
The band broke up in 1997, but reunited in 2010 and began work on “King Animal.”
