WASHINGTON – Many dogs across the region didn’t have to say goodbye when their owners left for work on Friday because June 22 is the 13th annual “Take Your Dog To Work Day.”

First celebrated in 1999, the day was created by Pet Sitters International to celebrate pets and promote their adoption from animal shelters, according to PSI.

WTOP would like anyone who brought their dogs to work to submit pictures of their canine companion at the office so we can put together a photo gallery. Please send your photos to webmail@wtop.com, tweet them using hash tag #WTOPdogs, or message us on Facebook with pics attached.
