WASHINGTON – Art is for lovers. And now, new lovers and lovers of art can meet at the National Portrait Gallery’s speed dating extravaganza.
On Valentine’s Day, singles looking to meet that special someone or couples looking to do something different will play games, listen to music and participate in a romance-themed scavenger hunt through the museum.
There will also be a chance to write love letters to your sweetheart, and learn romantic facts about Smithsonian exhibits.
“Portraits After 5: Art of Love” is on Feb. 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free, though people who want to participate in the speed dating portion must RVSP to artoflove@si.edu.
