HAYMARKET, Va. – Logmill Road in Prince William County is so hilly that when approaching some bumps all a driver sees is clouds and sky.

The intersection with residential Parnell Court is so treacherous, portions of Logmill Road will be flattened.

Last year the Prince William County Board of Supervisors allocated almost $3 million for the project, which is slated to begin this spring.

Police and residents have long-warned that speed combined with blind approaches makes Logmill Road potentially deadly.

Yellow signs warn “Hill Blocks View” and the speed limit in the most dangerous spots is 15 miles per hour, but in recent years four teenagers have died in two separate crashes.

Windchimes, crosses, teddy bears, and medals are draped over the tree, where Kendra Tucker and Savanna Kildane Mouratidis were killed in April 2011 when the speeding car they were riding in crashed into a tree, after striking a deer.

Christopher Suarez, who was driving the car in which Tucker and Mouratidis died, is scheduled to go on trial in April on two counts of involuntary manslaughter, and a count of reckless driving.
