WASHINGTON – “Something old, something new, something borrowed,” goes the familiar refrain. But when it comes to buying power, some things really can be purchased second hand.
Video games found in the used bins are often in great condition. Because so many people quickly tire of playing the same thing over and over again, perfectly good games end up getting chucked out too soon, according to Yahoo Finance.
Need a new car? Consider buying a previously owned one. Cars lose value the second they are driven off the lot. Buying something that is just a few years old could save you thousands.
Other things better bought used include books, baby clothes and furniture, household furniture, instruments, weight-lifting equipment, phones, clothes and kitchen goods.
