Texas A&M wins Meineke Car Care Bowl

HOUSTON (AP) – Texas A&M spotted Northwestern a 7-3 lead before scoring 27 straight points and racing off to a 33-22 victory over the Wildcats in the Meineke Car Care Bowl in Houston.

Ryan Tannehill threw for 329 yards and a touchdown and teammate Ben Malena ran for two more scores to help the Aggies snap a five-game bowl losing streak and finish 7-6.

It’s Northwestern’s ninth straight postseason loss since winning the 1949 Rose Bowl. They end up 6-7.
