Police: Recovered body is missing WSSC worker

WASHINGTON – Montgomery County police say a body pulled from the Triadelphia Reservoir is that of a missing Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission worker.

Charles Duckett was last seen in the area of the reservoir near Brookeville, Md. on Dec. 2. He was working on a managed deer hunt for the commission and had been on his way in a boat to recover a deer.

Authorities had searched the area extensively but were unable to locate Duckett, until his body was found in the reservoir at 1:16 p.m. Thursday.

Duckett, of Middle River, Md., was married with three children and worked for the water utility for 12 years.

Police say an autopsy will be conducted. A police spokesman says there were no signs of trauma or foul play, according to The Associated Press.

Anyone with information related to Duckett’s disappearance and recovery is asked to call police at 240-773-5070.
