BALTIMORE – The next Orioles uniform will feature a cartoon version of the Oriole bird.

The bird is not quite the one you remember from past years.

The new uniform, according to the team’s website, takes elements from the 1983 bird and the 1970 bird.

In addition to the bird, orange jerseys are coming back.

The team hasn’t worn the orange jerseys at home games since the 1992 season.

The plan is for the orange jerseys to be worn at 13 Saturday home games.

In 2012 you’ll also see a Camden Yards 20th anniversary patch on the right sleeve of the team jerseys. And, the lettering on the road jerseys won’t taper off. It will be all one size.

The changes are the first ones since 2008.

What do you think about the changes?
