Arkansas State wins 74-61 against Montana in CBI quarterfinals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Izaiyah Nelson had 17 points in Arkansas State’s 74-61 win against Montana on Monday in the quarterfinals of the CBI Tournament.

Nelson also contributed 12 rebounds for the Red Wolves (20-16). Freddy Hicks added 13 points while going 5 of 18 from the floor, including 0 for 7 from 3-point range, and 3 for 4 from the line while he also had seven rebounds. Derrian Ford shot 4 for 11 (3 for 7 from 3-point range) and 2 of 3 from the free-throw line to finish with 13 points.

The Grizzlies (24-12) were led by Laolu Oke, who recorded 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Josh Vazquez added 12 points for Montana. Te’Jon Sawyer also recorded nine points.
