Alcorn State beats Arkansas-Pine Bluff 104-95 for ninth straight win

LORMAN, Miss. (AP) — Jeremiah Gambrell had 28 points, Byron Joshua scored 20 and Alcorn State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 104-95 on Saturday for its ninth straight victory.

Gambrell shot 8 of 12 from the field, including 3 for 7 from 3-point range, and went 9 for 10 from the free-throw line for the Braves (14-17, 13-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Joshua added eight rebounds and eight assists. Dekedran Thorn totaled 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Rashad Williams finished with 20 points to lead the Golden Lions (13-18, 8-10). Kylen Milton added 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Robert Lewis pitched in with 13 points and six rebounds.
