JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Brandon Davis scored 16 points, Derrick Tezeno had a double-double and Southern beat Jackson State 72-63 on Monday.
Davis added seven rebounds for the Jaguars (13-9, 7-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Tezeno finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Antoine Jacks scored nine with three steals.
Ken Evans finished with 16 points to pace the Tigers (8-14, 4-5). Keiveon Hunt added 11 points and three steals.
