WASHINGTON — In case you haven’t seen it yet, Maryland’s Dez Wells hammered home a powerhouse dunk on Penn State’s Donovon Jack Wednesday night during the #17 Terps’ 64-58 win.
The slam sent the bench and the crowd into a frenzy, and may have taken a chunk of Jack’s soul. Let’s not forget the terrific steal and pass by Melo Trimble that made the play possible, or the reaction of Jake Layman (0:22), perhaps the greatest of the bunch.
But when asked after the game if it was the best of his career, Wells had a surprising answer.
Well, then. Perhaps we’ve got even greater highlights still awaiting us this season.
