WASHINGTON — One man is dead after a crash in Montgomery County, Maryland, early Wednesday morning.
The Montgomery County police say that a vehicle was headed east on Darnestown Road, east of the intersection with Route 107, when it left the road, hit a tree off the eastbound shoulder, came to rest on its side on the westbound shoulder and caught fire. The driver, whose name has not been released yet, was killed; no one else was in the car, the police say.
Darnestown Road was closed between Whites Ferry and Germantown roads, near Black Rock Road, until about 8:20 a.m.
