WASHINGTON — Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan will not be joining WTOP for “Ask the Governor” due to a shooting at Great Mills High School in St. Mary’s County on Tuesday morning.
It was slated to be the first-term Republican governor’s first visit to the Glass-Enclosed Nerve Center.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s office said the threat has been contained and the scene is no longer active.
St. Mary’s County Public Schools tweeted about the shooting shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

There has been a Shooting at Great Mills High School. The school is on lock down the event is contained, the Sheriff’s office is on the scene additional information to follow.
