Md. grand jury hands up indictment against workplace shooting suspect

WASHINGTON — The man accused of shooting five co-workers in a Harford County business in October, killing three of them, has been indicted by a grand jury, the county state’s attorney said.

The Harford County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 38-year old Radee Prince on three counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted first degree murder, confirmed Harford State’s Attorney Joseph Cassilly.

On Oct. 18, 2017, Prince opened fire on his co-workers at an Edgewood, Maryland granite manufacturer, killing three of them and wounding two others, according to police. He was caught in Wilmington, Delaware, following a subsequent shooting there and 10-hour manhunt.

He is accused of shooting an acquaintance at a Delaware car dealership several hours before his arrest.

Prince will face attempted murder charges in Delaware first before he goes to trial in Maryland because he faces harsher penalties in Delaware, Cassily said. He could be sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for first-degree attempted murder in Delaware, whereas he could be sentenced to life with the possibility of parole in Maryland.
