FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Twelve people in Maryland have been injured in a car crash.
The Frederick News-Post reported Wednesday that the wreck occurred on U.S. 15 north of Frederick. One patient was flown to a trauma center. The others were taken to various hospitals.
A Chevy Silverado had lost control and swerved into oncoming traffic. It collided with a van full of people.
All 10 people were rushed to hospitals. The driver of the Silverado told state police that a tractor trailer moved into his lane, causing him to swerve and lose control.
Northbound lanes were shut down. One southbound lane was closed.
