SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — Officials at Salisbury University say college police are investigating an image of a hanging stick figure with a racial slur that was found on a whiteboard at the library.
University spokesman Richard Culver tells The Daily Times of Salisbury (http://delmarvane.ws/1N75ogp ) that the image was found Sunday. In addition to the hanging stick figure and racial slur, the image also had the hashtag “#whitepower.
Salisbury University police are investigating the incident as a potential hate crime.
University President Janet Dudley-Eshbach wrote a letter to the campus on Monday denouncing the “act of intolerance” discovered in Blackwell Library.
