CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) _ Two probationary Dorchester County correction officers have been accused of burglarizing a home in Cambridge.
WBOC-TV (http://bit.ly/1NQzqAS ) reported Monday that 21-year-old Jacob Muir of Hurlock and 22-year-old Jacob Jackson of East New Market have been arrested and placed on unpaid suspension pending an investigation.
Cambridge police say the two men, who were inside the home when authorities arrived, broke into the residence and assaulted multiple people inside.
Acting Dorchester County Manager Jeremy Goldman says the men have worked at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections for six months.
Muir and Jackson were charged with third- and fourth-degree burglary, and two counts of malicious destruction of property. Muir was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, while Jackson faces three counts of second-degree assault. It is unclear if they have attorneys.
