Second toddler dies in Loudoun County drowning

WASHINGTON — The twin brother of a 2-year-old girl who drowned in a backyard pool Saturday in Sterling, Virginia has now died, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Liam Aristhomene died two days after his sister, Kaydan. Both children were discovered unconscious in the Acorn Court pool by their mother, Saturday morning.

“Circumstances remain under investigation, but all indications are this was a tragic accident,” said sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell, who declined to name the children’s mother, since she faces no criminal charges.

A family friend has established a GoFundMe page to pay for funeral costs for the children.
