Robber takes jewelry in Loudoun Co. home invasion

WASHINGTON – Law enforcement in Loudoun County are investigating a report of a home invasion-style robbery in a subdivision near Sterling Tuesday night.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says an armed man wearing a black mask entered a home on Stonehouse Place in the Cascades subdivision and demanded money from a woman and man who resided in the home.

The gunman took jewelry and a watch that the homeowners were wearing after telling the robber they had no money.

The gunman then ran toward the nearby Fairfax County line, the sheriff’s office says..

According to the sheriff’s office, the robber was described as black, with a slender build and about 6-foot tall. In addition to the black mask, similar to a balaclava, he was wearing a dark-colored jacket and dark jeans.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Cunningham at 703-777-0475 or Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919.
