WASHINGTON — As summer nears, area police are stepping up the pressure on illegal motorbike riders who have been disrupting local streets for years.

D.C. police have released photos of 22 riders in hopes that the public can help identify them.

It’s against the law to ride dirt bikes, minibikes and ATVs on D.C.’s streets, and the photos show unidentified people riding bikes of all kinds and colors.

Many of the photos are very clear, and in some cases there are multiple photos of the same person. One photo shows an ATV rider popping a wheelie.

By contacting police to report illegal bike riders or by helping identify them, you could be eligible for a $250 reward.
