WASHINGTON — Seven Prince George’s County Public schools were without power Thursday morning as outages across the Washington area left thousands in the dark.
Patuxent Elementary School, Tulip Grove at Meadow School, Rockledge Elementary School, Bowie Annex, Cool Spring Elementary School, Bucklodge Middle School and Langley McCormick Elementary School were without power for 15 to 20 minutes.
A spokeswoman with Prince George’s County Public schools said power was restored quickly around 10:30 a.m.
Pepco reported that as many as 2,500 customers in Montgomery County and about 1,400 in Prince George’s County had been without power. In Loudoun County, Dominion Virgina Power reported that about 280 customers were without power after heavy rain storms moved through the region.
Those customers power have all been restored.
