Red Line attack leaves man with concussion, broken jaw

WASHINGTON – A Metro rider was attacked on a train Monday evening leaving the man with a concussion and a broken jaw.

The man was attacked on a train between Union Station and NoMa-Gallaudet around 5:30 p.m.

A witness says a group of teens became rowdy. One boy attempted to rob the rider before punching the man in the head, The Washington Post reports.

A transit police officer stopped three teens, but they could not be positively identified as suspects.

Investigators are looking at surveillance video.
