WASHINGTON — World War II era aircraft will soar above the Pentagon on Friday in honor of the nation’s veterans.

The Pentagon flyover began at 12:30 p.m.

The flyover will include 20 T-6 “Texans” and a B-25 Mitchell bomber.

They’re set to depart Culpeper Regional Airport and fly above the Potomac River. The route will take the planes over Manassas and Woodbridge in Virginia, Clinton and Oxon Hill in Maryland, Andrews Air Force Base, and then into the airspace above the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery.
