WASHINGTON — Winter’s not over, but plenty of school systems are so over winter. And at this time of year, school systems check how many snow days they’ve used, and how many they have in the bank.
In Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, four snow days were set aside, and four snow days have been used, so any make ups will come at the end of the school year. In Fairfax County, there are still four snow days in the bank as that school system allows for up to 11 snow days in a school year.
In Charles County, spring break will be affected. The school system had four snow days set aside but has used five meaning students will be in school on March 30th — the first day of their spring break — to make it up.
