UPDATE 3 a.m. 1/7/2015: Pepco says that all but 97 people have their power back.
EARLIER: WASHINGTON — Thousands of Pepco customers are still without power in downtown D.C.
The company is reporting about 4,000 out in Dupont and Logan Circles. Those customers have been in the dark since this morning. A spokesman for Pepco says they now hope to have most customers’ lights back on sometime tonight.
About 160 customers, Pepco estimates, will remain without power overnight. They’ve set up a warming center at the Raymond Recreation Center, at 3725 10th Street Northwest.
We’ll stay on top of the outages until everyone’s power is restored.
