WASHINGTON — Pet owners will have a chance this weekend to take their animals to an event geared toward their furry friends.

It’s called the Super Pet Expo, and it’s being held at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly.

Dana Humphrey, who is also known as the Pet Lady, said attendees can expect more than 200 vendors, as well as installations including bunny agility tests and the dock-diving event, which allows dogs to chase their favorite toys into a 30,000-gallon swimming pool.

“The dogs go crazy; they jump as far as they can,” said Humphrey.

Owners can also get their dogs some exercise at the dog luring exhibit, where dogs can chase lures around an indoor course.

There will also be different classes available for pet owners, including one on creating healthy meals for pets.

In addition to standard four-legged pets, the expo will also feature an exhibit of extreme reptiles — everything from cobras to anacondas.

There’s also a pet parade and competition for the best-dressed pets on Saturday at noon.

The expo runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $13 for adults; $8 for children. Children 3 and under, and your leashed pets, are admitted free.
