WASHINGTON — A man delivering packages has critical injuries after he was hit by an SUV in Howard County.

Twenty-seven-year-old Charles Taylor Burry, of Ellicott City, was out of his truck, delivering packages for UPS when he was struck by a white, older model SUV in the 2300 block of Daniels Road in Ellicott City. It happened on Saturday around 7:30 p.m.

The SUV was traveling southbound and entered the northbound lanes, hit Burry and did not stop.

Howard County police believe the suspect’s vehicle has damage to the driver-side mirror.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or has seen the vehicle should call 911, a news release said.

The investigation is ongoing. Below is the area where the collision happened.
